We are a certified Universal Robots integrator
The market for robots has been characterized by heavy, expensive and unwieldy robots made by engineers for engineers. Universal Robots is at the forefront of a new class of robots, collaborative robots (cobots), due to their ability to work directly alongside humans with no safety caging (after a risk assessment). These kinds of cobots are poised to bridge the gap between fully-manual assembly and fully-automated manufacturing lines. Nowhere is that more obvious than in the SMB sector, which, until now, considered robot automation as too costly and complex to even consider. Unlike their big brothers working behind cages at automobile plants and other big assembly lines, the UR cobots are lightweight, flexible and can easily be moved and reprogrammed to solve new tasks, meeting the short-run production challenge faced by companies adjusting to ever more advanced processing in smaller batch sizes
Easy programming
Patented technology lets operators with no programming experience quickly set up and operate our cobots with intuitive, 3D visualization. Simply move the robot arm to desired waypoints or touch the arrow keys on the easy-to-use touchscreentablet
Fast set-up
Universal Robots has revolutionized robot set-up, reducing typical robotic deployment measured in weeks to a matter of hours. The out-of-box experience for an untrained operator to unpack the cobot, mount it, and program the first simple task is typically less than an hour.
Fastest payback in the industry
Universal Robots gives you all the advantages of advanced robotic automation, with none of the traditional added costs associated with traditional industrial robots making robotic automation affordable for even small and medium-sized businesses
Flexible deployment
Our cobots are lightweight, space-saving, and easy to re-deploy to multiple applications without changing your production layout. Moving the cobot to new processes is fast and easy, giving the user the agility to automate almost any manual task, including those with small batches or fast change-overs. The cobot is able to re-use programs for recurrent tasks.
Collaborative & safe
A large number of our cobots worldwide operate with no safety guarding (after risk assessment), right beside human operators. The safety system of our cobots is approved and certified by TÜV (The German Technical Inspection Association).
Modular design
The design of the cobot minimizes the risk of production downtime. In the event of any malfunction or defect, the cobot is quickly and easily fixed thanks to its modular construction
The international market for robots
UR cobots Universal Robots’ first product, launched in 2008, was the UR5, a six-jointed articulated robot arm that revolutionized the market for industrial robots.
The UR5 has a lifting capacity of up to 5 kilos (11 lbs) and a working radius of 850mm (33.5 ins). In 2012, Universal Robots’ UR10, with a payload of 10 kilos (22 lbs) and a reach of 1300 mm (51.2 ins), was launched. The UR10 has been designed according to exactly the same principles as the UR5, which means it is just as flexible and easy to fit into the production process.
In 2015, Universal Roobts launches the UR3, a new compact table-top cobot with a payload of 3 kilos (6.6 lbs) and working radius of 500 mm (19.7 ins). It’s an ideal choice for applications that require 6-axis capabilities where size, safety and costs are critical. In 2018, a brand new generation of UR cobots, called e-Series, was introduced raising the standard for collaborative robots and enabling even faster solution development and deployment of a wider variety of applications.
Named UR3e, UR5e, and UR10e the payload and reach remain the same as the previous generation. In 2019, Universal Robots launched the heavy-duty UR16e which handles high-payload tasks like heavy material handling, heavy machine tending, packaging & palletizing, and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). The UR16e has apayload of 16 kilos (35.3 lbs) and a reach of 900 mm (35.4 in).
